GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS    

*CONGRATULATIONS to the Eagles Dance Team for placing 5th at the Regional Competition on Saturday and advancing to STATE Competition this Saturday in LaCrosse!  WAY TO GO LADIES!! And good luck at State!

*Congratulations to Aspyn Pawlak, Grade 7, for winning the district spelling bee on January 23, 2020.

Isabella Olson, Grade 6 was the runner-up.  Aspyn will now advance to regional competition at West Salem on February 13th. Good luck, Aspyn!

*Congratulations to the following students for achieving first,second, and third places in their grade level competitions in the Buffalo County Conservation Poster Contest: K-1: Magnus Noll 1st; Saige Traun 2nd; Allison Johnson 3rd.  Grades 2-3: Liam Kosik 1st, Henry Apanecatl 2nd, Noah Pawlak 3rd.  Grades 4-6: Tessa Danzinger 1st, Maven Coey 2nd, Hannah Wahlund 3rd.  First place posters will advance to area competition in EauClaire on February 3rd.Good luck Magnus, Liam, and Tessa!

*Congratulations to the following sixth grade students for their first, second, and third place achievement in the Buffalo County Conservation Speaking Contest. Cole McQuiston 1st, Nicole Walker 2nd and Maven Coey 3rd.  Cole will advance to area speaking competition in EauClaire on February 3rd. Good luck Cole!

*Just a reminder when there are games or concerts at school and you are not able to attend, you can go to our live stream at: www.eyeintheskysports.com  and click on the “Find Your Team” tab at the top and then click on the “Alma/Pepin” under the schools and it will take you to our page.  Then just click on the activity and you will see a list of the events that will be live streamed. Music concerts or plays will be listed under school events and sports will be listed under their sport.  Make sure to share with out of town family and friends as well

*Any students in grades 6-12 who would like to participate in the Alma Trap Team this Spring please let Mrs. Rieck know ASAP.  Thanks

*Alma students are invited to participate in the spring musical at W-K  this year. Auditions for “Big Fish the Musical” will be Sunday February 9th 1pm-7:30. Audition packets ready by the end of this week.  

Important Dates to note:  March 1, 8, 15- Sunday Choreography rehearsals; April 18th-Saturday Mandatory Rehearsal 6pm-Midnight; May 1st, 2nd, 3rd Performances.  Students interested in auditioning should send an email to cmedina@wkfalcons.org so they have an idea who may be auditioning.  

 

Friday - January 31 - M/W/F

Breakfast: B4: Oatmeal bar; K-6 grade: Bagel; 7-12th grades: Breakfast Pizza or Cereal for all

Lunch:  Chicken Patty, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Fruit Cocktail

*Around 3 PM will be having a dance team state send off.  The office will make an announcement when it is time to start lining up.  The team will be coming down the high school math-science hallway and then turning down our main hallway and heading outside.  Please line up with your students down the main hallway and then creating a tunnel outside and to the bus at 3 PM. Let's have HS line up from the library towards the entrance, followed by JH and then Elementary.  Please remind your students to cheer loud and appropriately. Appropriate signs and high fives are also welcomed. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks and best of luck to our Eagles Dance Team!  

*GBB game at Pepin vs Whitehall 7:15; van (Herold) leaves Alma at 5:15; Pep Band plays: bus (Herold) leaves Alma at 6:00;  little dribblers perform at halftime. Kids should be there at 7:15 in the small gym. Wear your blue dribblers shirt and bring your basketballs.  

*MSGBB game at Pepin vs Whitehall 4:30/5:30; bus (Kilian) leaves Alma at 3:40

*BBB practice at Alma

*Dance leaving for State in LaCrosse, take girls to Pepin at 1:35. Send off in Pepin at 2:15, Send off in Alma at 3:05

     Elementary:

*Little Dribblers (Gr 1-3) at Alma 9:00

*YGBB Tournament at Alma
