My name is Lynn Brecka, and I am the 2nd grade teacher at Alma. I have been part of the Alma staff since 1994 where I have taught mostly 2nd and 3rd grades. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. I grew up in Southern Illinois. My husband, Brian and I have lived in Alma since 1993. Our jobs brought us to Alma, and we are happy they did. We love living and working in this community. Our four grown children Brilyn, Emma, Ethan, and Colton are all proud graduates from Alma. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, reading, taking walks, and doing puzzles. What I love most about our school is that as teachers we get to know these students really well and watch them grow. I love being able to bring fun, educational activities to my students to help develop a love for learning.
