Students lined up for a photo in front of the giant hot dog

On Tuesday, January 22nd, some students got to experience the one-of-a-kind Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. The students learned about the history of the Wienermobile dating back to 1936 when the first Wienermobile took to the streets. An alumni from Alma High School, Samantha Benish (aka Sammer Sausage), and her trusty sidekick, Hammy Sammy, travel the nation in the 27-foot-long hotdog. Sam graduated in 2019 and attended the University of Wisconsin Madison for journalism. After graduating from Madison, she applied for this prestigious job. Luckily enough she landed the job, which only 12 out of 2000 people who apply get it. Sam has been part of the Oscar Mayer marketing team for six months; however, the job is only a one-year position, and then Oscar Mayer finds new members. A huge thank you goes out to Sammer Sausage and Hammy Sammy for this wonderful experience. We ¨relished¨ the experience.
