Eagles Finley Noll at the Free Throw Line

On Tuesday, January 30th the Lady Eagles faced the Independence-Gilmanton Indees. This was the second time these teams faced each other in conference play, the first ending in a victory for the Indees. 

Tuesday’s game started slow for both teams, taking three minutes until one of the teams scored; Alma-Pepin was the first on the scoreboard. It wasn’t too long after Independence was on the board as well. The game was neck and neck until Indee pushed their lead ahead. With six minutes left in the first half, the Indees were ahead by eleven points. The Lady Indees went into halftime with a comfortable lead, 24-13. Independence-Gilmanton dominated the second half. The Indee’s always had a five-point or greater lead against the Eagles. Three different Independence players recorded double-digits in points. Sophomore, Makiyah Scow was the leading scorer with 16 points. Her teammates, Nora Schank and Arabelle Kniseley both followed with 12 points. Kniseley was also the team's leading rebounder with nine rebounds. Alma-Pepin’s junior, Finley Noll, was her team's leading scorer and rebounder. Finley had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Independence defeated Alma-Pepin, 55-43.
