Blair-Taylor took on the Alma-Pepin Eagles on Tuesday Night in the Pepin gym. The Wildcats did manage to come up on top with a score of 63-57. The Eagles put up a great fight, but the Wildcats’ three point shooting was on point.

Starting off the game, the Wildcats had a five to zero lead. The Eagles fought back the whole game, but the Wildcats sophomore, Samantha Aguilar, was shooting the lights out to make herself the leading scorer with 21 points. Alma-Pepin’s Finley Noll, on the other hand, was hitting the three’s very well with 3 three pointers in just the first half. With that kind of scoring, it made Finley Noll the leading scorer for the Eagles with 16 points. Going into the locker rooms at the half, the Eagles worked to keep their heads up with a score of 27-37 Blair-Taylor.

In the second half, the Eagles worked their tail feathers off to fight back. However, Blair-Taylor kept the Eagles in their cage with Andrea Waldera, who had six blocks in the whole game. Keeping on the pressure, Blair kept adding to their lead; consequently, the Eagles just couldn’t get back. Number 30, Tori Creighton said, “I think we went into the game a little hot headed knowing that we already beat them and had a higher seed”. The game ended 63-57 with Blair-Talyor taking the win, ending the Eagles’ season.
