Alma Area Schools - Promoting Lifelong Learning and Achievement

The upper elementary students learned why things float or sink. They learned that in order to change an objects ability to sink or float, we have to do one of the following three things: 1) Make the object lighter 2) Change the objects shape or 3) Add floatation devices. They then experimented with various items to complete these challenges: 1) Make a dice float 2) Make a ping pong ball sink and 3) Make two die sink. It was a great learning experience for all.
