Monday, September 23rd kicked off Alma’s Homecoming week and was filled with excitement and activities from 6th grade to 12th grade. This week started off with the decorations in the hallway as the theme was fast food restaurants. As customary in Alma, all posters, boards, and hallways had to fall under this theme. Another highlight of the week was the dress up days. Many students thought outside the box and had a blast dressing up! At the end of the day on Friday, classes ended early, so the students could have fun and get competitive with class games. Each grade competed against the other grades and ended with the long anticipated lip sync show. The Junior class ended up winning the games and gained bragging rights!
Thursday, September 25th was the Eagles Homecoming volleyball game against the CFC Pirates. Both teams have faced each other in nonconference games, so this was a crowd pleaser. Additionally, it was also the Caiden’s Crew night, supporting Caiden Haake and raising funds for a cure for cancer. The Eagles sank the Pirates’ ship and won in an ecstatic race winning three out of five sets. After the game, the coronation for Homecoming King and Queen began. This year's homecoming court is (left to right in photo) Cole McQuiston, Gavin Weaver, Christian Langhorst, Braiden Graner, Trenton Krzoska, Amber Meier, Nikki Walker, Lizzy Graner, Isabella Olson, Hannah Wahlund, and Tessa Danzinger. Congratulations to the 2025 Homecoming King, Trenton Krzoska, and Homecoming Queen, Amber Meier!
The Eagles took on the Pirates yet again for the long awaited football game on Friday, September 26th. Many people from both Alma and Pepin came together to watch football, but also to honor Caiden Haake as this was the second night of his fundraiser. This game was much anticipated and brought hundreds of people to Alma to enjoy the game. In a back and forth battle, CFC scored a two point conversion on the final drive ending the game leaving the Eagles one point behind. The final score was Eagles 14, and CFC 15. Following the game, students enjoyed the final festivity of the week, the homecoming dance.
