This week’s Student of the Week is sixth grader, Tyson Barton. Tyson is the son of Stacy and Travis along with his step dad, Tony. He enjoys spending time with his brother Gavin and his two pets, Tito and Jager. Florida is Tyson's dream vacation, and while he enjoys the sun, he would like to see a whale show. The best part of sixth grade so far, in his opinion, is the free time he gets in open study. Tyson enjoys Phy. Ed. so he can participate in games and have fun. Because she is a nice and helpful, Mrs. Goeldner is his favorite teacher. Congratulations Tyson on being this week’s Student of the Week! Keep up the great work!

Last Wednesday, the senior class took their senior trip to Action City in Eau Claire. They enjoyed a day filled with laser tag, go-karts, bumper cars, and the trampoline park! This was a great way for the senior class to bond and make lasting memories before graduating.

A group of about 18–20 teenagers and young adults pose together indoors, smiling at the camera. They stand in a tiled area with bright green walls, near a railing and a “City Eats” sign in the background. Many wear casual clothing such as hoodies, T-shirts, and athletic wear, with several items showing school or sports team logos like Eagles and Wisconsin. The group stands close together in a casual, friendly pose, suggesting a team or school outing.
Blurry photo of a computer or tablet screen displaying an online math assignment. A geometry diagram with intersecting lines, angles, and labeled measurements is visible on the right side. The bottom shows part of a web browser interface with a URL and navigation icons. The image has glare and distortion, making most of the text difficult to read.
Two teenagers smiling while driving a go-kart together on an indoor track, with one waving at the camera and colorful walls and signs in the background.
Three teenagers go-kart racing on an indoor track, focused on driving as they round a turn with purple walls and track barriers around them .
A large group of teens pose together in a dark indoor waiting area, sitting and standing along the walls before a laser tag game. Yellow safety signs, an exit door, and a "Laser Tag Rules" sign are visible in the background.
A group of five friends taking a selfie in the dark, neon-lit laser tag arena, holding glowing laser tag guns and wearing bright, colorful gear.
Three teens sit in colorful bumper cars on an indoor spinning bumper car track, while empty red bumper cars are parked in the foreground. The arcade-style space has black ceilings, bright lights, and green-and-purple building-themed decorations in the background.

Lorna Lisowski, daughter of Pat and Amp Lisowski, was accepted into the 2026 State Honors Orchestra. Lorna prepared an extensive audition, where she had to perform various scales, a Class A solo, etude, and had to sightread on the spot.
This is Lorna's third consecutive year qualifying for the state honors program.

Lorna will attend the honors camp at UW Eau Claire in June and then perform at the WSMA State Music Conference in October.

Lorna is a sophomore student at Alma High School. She plays oboe in the concert band and saxophone in the pep band and jazz band.

Congratulations to Lorna on this amazing accomplishment.
