This week's Student of the Week is, fifth grader, Sawyer Jesse! Sawyer has five siblings- four older and one younger. With his family, he enjoys celebrating Thanksgiving, so he can spend time with them and eat good food. At school, Social Studies is his favorite class because he gets to do lots of projects. Sawyer also enjoys playing baseball, football, and basketball in his free time. Playing video games and hanging out with friends are some of his other hobbies. Congratulations Sawyer, on being this week’s Student of the Week! Keep up the good work!

This week's Student of the Week is sophomore, Imani Lopez-Elliott. Imani is the only daughter of Addie and Gabriel. During school, she looks forward to English with Mrs. Krzoska because of the conversations that her class always engages in. Even with English as her favorite subject, Mrs. Krzoska and Mr. Reed are her two favorite teachers because of the amount of support they show for her and how kind they both are. Outside of school, Imani participates in volleyball and dance. In her free time, she likes to read, bake, and spend time with friends and family. Currently, after high school, Imani would like to become a flight attendant and travel the world. Her biggest role model is her mom because she shows resilience and never fails to support her. Imani’s favorite part of Alma is the small community and how she gets to know everyone. Congratulations, Imani, and keep up the great work.

🎶 Student Spotlight 🎶 This past weekend, 11th grade choir student Olivia Larson had the incredible opportunity to attend the Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa! Olivia sang as part of a massive SATB choir of nearly 1,000 singers, representing schools from four Midwestern states. This prestigious festival brings together talented high school vocalists for an unforgettable day of high-level choral music, collaboration, and inspiration. We are so proud of Olivia for representing our school and for her dedication, musicianship, and love of singing. Experiences like Dorian are truly transformative, and we’re excited to see how this opportunity continues to shape her growth as a musician! 🎵✨ 👏 Congratulations, Olivia!
