"Fun Friday" has always been a student favorite in third grade! It's a great way to have some fun after working hard all week and review previously learned skills.
All year long the third graders have loved talking about donuts. This week, they got to enjoy taking orders from students around the school, practicing dividing their orders into fractions, and put their creative writing skills to the test by designing their own donut shop. And yes, they also got to enjoy a donut (or two) thanks to an additional birthday treat!

Liam Kosik is this week’s student of the week. Liam is in 6th grade and has two siblings Finleigh and Shay. His parents are Heather and Royce Kosik. Liam’s favorite class is Phy Ed. He participates in many sports including, football, basketball, trap, and baseball. During his free time, he hunts and fishes. Liam has many favorite candies, but his favorite is Airheads. Liam has three pets at home, including two dogs and one cat. Congratulations Liam!

Alma Prom-Saturday, April 27
Alma Band Seniors! Congratulations to this outstanding group of band leaders:
Claire Goeldner, Flute: Zoey Danzinger, Clarinet and Sax; Madox Stewart, Alto Sax; Keegan Stiehl, Alto Sax; Ashton Radatz, Trumpet; Ashley Bartelt, Flute and Sax; and Roland Goeldner, Trombone. I have enjoyed watching these students grow and mature over the past eight years and I am so proud of all they have accomplished. These seniors will be honored at our Spring Concert on Monday, April 29, 7:00 pm. at Pepin High School. We hope you can join us and help celebrate our amazing students and musicians!
High school students' artwork is on display at Wings Over Alma. A reception will be held on Saturday, April 27th, from 1 to 3 p.m. Their artwork will be on display through the end of May. Swing by and check out their hard work!

A very sincere 'THANK YOU' to Mary Meixner for hosting the Kids in the Kitchen (Out of School Time Grant) event this evening. She organized 9 recipes for 3 different school age groups and provided a special experience for over 50 children. The district really appreciates Mary's commitment to the kids... Organizing, preparing and teaching for this OST program was a 'work of heart.' The children seemed to enjoy every bit and many asked, "When can we do this again?"

Clayton Kegel, a junior in high school, is this week's student of the week. Clayton is the son of Dan and Johanna Bork and has four siblings. In his spare time, he enjoys farming and playing football. Clayton likes the small atmosphere of the Alma School and especially enjoys great football program. His favorite teacher is Mrs. Krzoska, who teaches English. At school, Clayton participates in football and FFA. After high school, Clayton plans to go into a trade of some sort. Congratulations to Clayton Kegel.
