Meet Kori Gusa born on March 16th, 2012. Kori is our Student of the Week, who was selected for his hard work in the classroom. Kori looks forward to having science with Mrs. Glander when he is at school. Outside the classroom, he loves playing baseball and hopes Alma will have a huge stadium when he is in high school. When Kori is looking for a little snack, he chooses a Snicker bar. However when it comes to supper, Kori said you can never go wrong with a good bacon cheeseburger. Kori's dog, Summit, is by far his favorite out of the 3 dogs his family has. When asked who he looked up to, Kori answered with his dad. He said he loves to spend time with him no matter what they are doing. Finally, when Kori gets older, he said he would like to be a professional bowler, but if that plan fails driving a truck would do.

Student of the Week
The Student of the week this week is Macy Stewart. Macy is a 9th grade student and was already on varsity for volleyball and basketball. This year she is also doing track and field, but other than that she plays AAU basketball during the summer for Team Wisconsin. During the fall she enjoys hunting with her dad, Rob, and brother, Madox. She also enjoys shopping with her sister, Mya, and her mom, Heidi. Macy loves the school for many reasons. It could be because her dad is the superintendent at Alma, or because she loves going into English class to see her favorite teacher, Mrs. Krzoska. The one thing that she would change about the school was to have a bigger break period, so she can hang out with her many friends. After High School, Macy wants to go to Winona State University to study physical therapy. Congratulations to Macy Stewart and keep up the good work!

Congrats to Allidah Luff - First Team All Conference and Finley Noll - Second Team All Conference!

Congratulations to Evan Olson for making 1st Team All-Conference. Madox Stewart and Keegan Stiehl 2nd Team All Conference.
A lifting clinic will be put on in the Alma Area School gymnasium, mark your calendars.

On February 13, 2024, the 8th grade class journeyed over to Cochrane-Fountain City for an annual prevention day. The activities were paid for and provided by the Buffalo County Partnership Council. Eighth grade students from Alma, Mondovi, Gilmanton, and CFC came together to watch and learn about signs of suicide and drug use. The kids were able to watch a mock Teen Court hearing run by current members of the Teen Court. The kids observed and learned about the Teen Court process and participated in small breakout discussion groups. The students then participated in an interactive game show put on by Alma BCPC representatives. The students had an action packed day and were able to learn in fun easy with kids from other schools.
Evelyn Rolbiecki, our student of the week, is five years old in Pre-K. She enjoys watching Paw Patrol and snacking on candy; in addition, she enjoys the outdoors with her dog, Baylee, and farm cats. She helps out on the farm caring for the chickens and goats and dreams of owning a horse just like her favorite superhero, Wonder Woman. She hopes to come inside to a big plate of plain noodles, where she is joined by her mom Whitney, dad Scott, and two brothers- Waylon and Wiley.
