The sixth graders are studying plants and what they need to survive. They conducted an experiment where one plant received light and the other one did not. They observed the differences between the plants. Thank you, Sheila Huber and the Alma Garden Gate for donating the plants.

The fifth graders are studying the engineering design process. They created a scale model of a park that had an erosion problem on the walking path. As a group, they brainstorm solutions, tested them, and came up with a solution to fix the problem.

Mr. Ruff's 4th graders are in spiring us to 'Be _________' with a new bulletin board. He and his students integrated the use of dialogue. The 4th graders learned how to use quotation marks before or after the tag line. The bees and the flowers --full of color-- allow us to think about a new season.
