These young engineers knew they wanted to be competitive in Appleton today. Therefore, Team 4664 A worked hard this past week to modify the robotś gear ratio/ increase the robotś speed, add Omni wheels, and fine-tune the fling design to improve skill in the driver controlled team competition matches. In addition, the young men spent around 5 hours on the automated code, which resulted in a 30 point score. Throughout the driver skill team matches, the Eagles competed with/against teams all across the state. Impressively, the VEX Eagles ranked 5th -12th out of the 48 teams at different times within the rounds of the day. ALMA School is really proud of these 5th, 6th and 7th graders!

Rivermen Clubhouse had more fun making St. Patrick’s day art and working on word search projects.

Rivermen Clubhouse played games focused on St. Patrick’s day ☘️! The student’s made a clover portrait and each student added glitter and other creative details. They all did a great job and look so wonderful!

The Alma and Pepin Board of Educations have approved the administration’s recommendation to add an additional vacation day to this year’s school calendar on Monday, March 21st. The Board of Educations and School Administrations would like to thank students, staff and parents for their efforts and support through this last wave of COVID-19. We appreciate all the work that is put into following the mitigation strategies and the additional stress and workload that is created for all parts of our school organizations. Again, Monday, March 21st, 2022 will be a school vacation day. Students and staff will have this day off.

Rivermen Clubhouse kids discovered fun times using colors that other friends like more then themselves. They did a color challenge where a friend shouted out their favorite color and everyone had to color one part of their picture that color. They could see that their photos were all beautiful in its own way. They also danced and moved around in large groups this week! Getting energy out. Finally they made a big banner. Working together to make a master piece of how lucky we are to be part of a great district. Thank you staff, families and big helpers for making our time together fun!

Rivermen Clubhouse kids enjoyed an afternoon of playing in the gym to show off their basketball and jump rope skills. Then they ended with a cooking lesson. They made up an easy pie crust and added cinnamon and sugar. Fun times before the snow came into town.

The GBB Regional Playoff game at Royall has been officially rescheduled for Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.
