Congratulations to these Alma Area School ladies! They competed in the WHFSA Statewide District Speech Festival and advanced to the state level. Katrina Heller is competing in the poetry category. Jessica Meier, Brooke Priefert and Emma Myren are competing in group interpretation. Best wishes in your next level competition.

The sixth graders are studying plants and what they need to survive. They conducted an experiment where one plant received light and the other one did not. They observed the differences between the plants. Thank you, Sheila Huber and the Alma Garden Gate for donating the plants.
The fifth graders are studying the engineering design process. They created a scale model of a park that had an erosion problem on the walking path. As a group, they brainstorm solutions, tested them, and came up with a solution to fix the problem.
