It's Scholastic Book Fair time from December 9-13th! The FAIR will be in the distance learning room (in the high school wing); it is open 8:30-11:00AM every morning and will also be open from 5:30-6:45PM on DECEMBER 12th, the evening of the elementary concert. (Other times can be made available by contacting the elementary school office.)

This week’s Alma Elementary student of the week is Elouise Green. In school, Elouise’s favorite class is art, and her favorite thing to do is paint. Elouise’s favorite food is a chicken sandwich because she can eat them at home or get them from Kwik Trip. Another favorite of Elouise’s is the elephant. This is her favorite animal because they live in the jungle. Although she does not have a pet elephant, Elouise has five other pets, two dogs, two turtles, and one fish. In her free time, Elouise likes to take naps or go places with her mom and dad. Congrats Elouise on being Student of the Week.
Congratulations to Clare Jumbeck for being this week’s High School Student of the Week! Clare’s parents are Tanya and her role model, Bob Jumbeck. She admires her dad, having learned many important lessons from him. One of her favorite hobbies is pitching with her dad. She loves softball, especially because it is in the summer. Clare has a special place in her heart for pickles, which is her favorite food. Her favorite class is Spanish, where she enjoys learning from her favorite teacher, Ms. Burrow. Keep up the great work Clare!

Mrs. Brecka's 2nd Graders celebrated Thanksgiving by reading the story How to Catch a Turkey. Then, they were challenged to create a maze to get their "turkey" through. They had 20 minutes to build and test. Such creative minds they have!

Thursday, November 21st, Alma's fifth-grade class traveled to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, MN. There they got to enjoy the fantastic play, A Christmas Carol. This is an annual tradition-sponsored PIE.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
The Coffee Camper came to Alma Area Schools, and all staff were given a free coffee to start Teacher Appreciation Week! High school and middle school students were also allowed to buy themselves a treat. This was an amazing start to a full week of appreciating Alma Area School staff!
