Hope for Caiden: Standing Strong Together

A known legend of Eagle athletics, Caiden Haake, was recently given the difficult news that he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. During his time as an Eagle, Caiden has a wealth of sports accolades, including: 4x Football Conference Champion, 2x Football State Finals, 2x Football All-State, 2x Basketball All-Conference, Basketball Conference Champion, all-time Pepin points and rebounds leader, and 3x Track and Field All-Conference. Lastly, Caiden was the State Champion in Discus. Even though Caiden's record on the field and court was abundant, his character was his greatest quality.

On Caiden’s 26th birthday, he started his battle with Leukemia. Caiden continued his chemotherapy with the company of his family by his side. On August 20th, Caiden had his last round of chemo and began waiting for the biopsy results. His results concluded that the treatment had killed some of the cancer, but not enough. In pursuit of eliminating more of the disease, he started his second treatment of chemotherapy.

Eagle Athletics would like to partner with our schools and communities for a fundraiser to assist the Haakes through this challenging time. Friday, September 26th, when the Eagles play C-FC, we would like to support Caiden Haake by raising awareness and supporting his fight through a 50/50 drawing and raffling off multiple large baskets and donations. There will also be rubber bracelets available that night. Below is a link to Caiden’s Crew T-Shirts that we would like as many fans as possible to wear to the game that Friday.

All proceeds will be donated to medical expenses and financial assistance, with any excess funds going to cancer research.
