Rivermen Clubhouse enjoyed making a fox and dancing to a fox video. It was a fox 🦊 kind of night!

The Eagle Football program will be selling discontinued game jerseys during teacher conferences. Parent/Teacher Conference are Thursday, March 2 from 3-8:00 p.m and Friday, March 3 from 8-11:00 a.m.  Tables will be set near the high school office in Alma .  Conditions vary, but some will be 'like new.'  Prices range from $5 to $20.   We have attached a picture of a couple. Afternoon Activities Updates: MS Forensics Level 2 at Alma has been rescheduled for tomorrow. Tues. Feb. 28 3rd & 4th Grade Boys’ Basketball versus CFC is canceled and they are working on a rescheduled date. Spring Volleyball is canceled. Alma Right Start is canceled. Varsity Boys Basketball practice will be OPTIONAL with leaving Alma at 3 PM. If any parents are uncomfortable with their son traveling to practice, they should keep them home. The following Alma Senior band students will be participation in the Dorian Band Festival at Luther College on Monday, February 27: Katrina Heller, clarinet; Ryann Rieck, alto sax; Brooke Priefert, alto sax;  Emily Walker, trumpet; Emma Myren, trombone; and  Karysa Schalinske, euphonium. Congratulations to the six Alma senior band students who have been selected to attend the 2023 Dorian Honors Band Festival at Luther College in Decorah, IA. The festival will run from Sunday, February 26 through Monday, February 27. School Closure Message: With 6-8 inches of snow predicted this evening during round one, and 12-18 additional inches of new snow starting tomorrow in round two, we have made the decision that Alma Area Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 22nd & Thursday, February 23rd. Tomorrow will be an E-Learning Day and our staff have prepared students. Students will not have E-Learning on Thursday, but are expected to assist their family and neighbors in the cleanup efforts that will be needed after this historic snow storm. I would ask that we all look out for our senior citizens and disabled community members. Please offer a helping hand to those who need assistance with this amount of snow. Additionally, the building will be closed and all student activities are canceled through Friday morning. Please stay safe and limit travel for emergencies only over the next couple of days to give our state, county, and township road crews the opportunity to clean up the roadways without obstruction. Thank you again to our road crews for their efforts and long hours over the next couple of days!

Today some 2nd graders shared their Louisiana tradition with us. They told us about how and why they celebrate Mardi Gras. It was interesting to learn all about this holiday. A big thank you to their dad, Donald Bates, for bringing an authentic Kings Cake from New Orleans. It was a tasty treat, and someone was lucky to find the baby. If you have the piece with the baby you are said to have good luck.

After School Activities Update for Tues. Feb. 21: Boys and Girls High School Basketball Teams will be allowed to have practice until 5:25 p.m. tonight. 6th Grade Girls Basketball game is CANCELED for tonight. High School Forensics will be submitting their performances via video and not traveling to Holman this evening. Congratulations to our Lady Eagles on their first round Regional Basketball win last night!!!
