More Farm/Animal week fun at the Rivermen Clubhouse

Rivermen Clubhouse have had a wonderful week with a theme about farm & animals.
They have made lots of cool things and played with farm toys. One fun thing they enjoyed doing was making a STEM project. They made a watermelon in a baggie. So cool!

Alma Summer School began on June 5 and will end tomorrow June 30th. Thank you to all the teachers, community outreach partnership personnel, supervisors, food service personnel and teen volunteers who put their hands & hearts to work to plan and create great experiences for our youth. Active hands on learning experiences and enrichment opportunities were created in addition to the traditional literacy and math activities that allow students to practice their skills for an additional month. Community programming came from the UW Extension Child Care Clinic, the DNR's Hunters Safety, boater & ATV safety, and a UW Extension Safety Day. In addition, 80 students attended swimming lessons at the Wabasha Pool. Here are just a few photos from the past couple of days to give a glimpse of the happenings --birdhouses, alka-seltzer rockets, rock painting, VEX towers and the swimmers thanking the City of Alma!
