The early bird Whitehall VEX IQ 2022-2023 SLAPSHOT game based engineeering challenge tournament was held from 8-4 yesterday. A few of the Alma School VEX club members put a current robot design to the test. It was an exciting day of STEM based hands on student learning. Monday all the VEX students will be back in the lab tocontinue to modify, redesign and test run their robots based on what each team learned yesterday. Congratulations to Team 4664A for their placement in the final round. They did VERY well.

Rivermen Clubhouse kids enjoyed a STEM activity. They took a bottle, a straw and a balloon. It was impressive how well each child could blow the balloon up with the straw in the bottle. They also took a balloon and cups and stacked them up with only using the balloon.

The 7th graders have been busy in the art room with Mrs. Dierauer making and designing masks. They recently used one another as forms when plastered each other's faces.
Thanks Fire Chief Tom Brakke for coming into the 2nd grade classroom to review Fire Safety with us. We learned about EDITH, Stop Drop and Roll, and what to do if we have a fire in our home.
