We recently had the pleasure of hosting UW Stout’s first-year admissions representative at Alma High School. Students gained valuable insights into the university’s 55 diverse majors and discovered what sets UW Stout apart. A key takeaway was the emphasis on hands-on learning, with access to more than 990 internships and partnerships with more than 700 industry leaders. As a Polytechnic university, UW Stout goes beyond traditional classroom instruction, prioritizing real-world experiences through labs and practical applications. We extend our gratitude to UW Stout for providing our students with opportunities to explore their future pathways!

Good evening. There is no doubt that Sunday’s winter storm was very impactful. Talking with the county they are still seeing additional drifting and to give them time to get those areas cleaned up in the morning we will be delaying school 2 hours. Again, the Alma School District will be starting with a two hour delay on Tuesday, March 17th. Thanks and make it a great day.
Please join us for our 4th Annual Student Art Sale at Spring Fling!
We are very excited to be doing a gardening theme this year! The students are working hard on their pieces right now, so we don't yet have photos to show you. We're looking forward to the big unveiling and think this will be a really fun showing, as some of the garden art will actually be art for your garden!

Emma Elsenpeter, fourth grader, is this week's Student of the Week. Emma is the youngest daughter of Dan and Sara, and the younger sister of freshman, Elizabeth. During school, Emma loves learning about math because of all the fun group projects her class gets to participate in. She is a very busy girl; she plays volleyball, basketball, softball, and dance. Softball is her overall favorite, and in dance she favors kick. Outside of all her sports, she takes care of her 21 pets, which consist of dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, a rabbit, and a parakeet. During the summer, Emma loves being outdoors. She enjoys going to the swimming pool and riding her bike. In the future, Emma sees herself as an elementary teacher. Congratulations, Emma, keep up the great work!

Brody Schams, a sophomore at Alma, is this week’s Student of the Week. Brody says his favorite part about going to Alma is the small class sizes and how personal the school feels. His all-time favorite teacher is Mrs. Burrow because she is nice and funny. Although he didn’t have her class this year, he hopes to have her again next year. Brody’s favorite classes are Shop with Mr. Reed, where he enjoys the creative freedom it offers. Outside of school, he is involved in FFA and helps his parents, Holly and Ben, around the family farm. His siblings, Bo and Brynn, help take care of their dog, Luna. After high school, Brody plans to attend a technical college. Congratulations to Brody on being Student of the Week! Keep up the great work.

Congratulations to this week's Senior Spotlights: Elizabeth and Braiden Graner!
